To have a social media account is to be solicited by someone in direct sales. You can hardly log in to Facebook without receiving a message about whitening toothpaste that will change your life AND offer financial freedom (quite the combo). You can replace toothpaste in that sentence with shakes, workout DVDs, leggings, vitamins, wine, and children’s books. Most recently, for me, Shampoo.
I don’t mind. I love being able to get my hands on products I need (and don’t) without leaving my house. So when Julianne reached out to me about trying MONAT I was ecstatic. I’ve been seeing a lot about it on the ol’ interwebs and people’s testimonies were pretty compelling, but I wondered if the products could live up to the hype.
My hair hasn’t been the same since I had my daughter. Yes, almost two years later, I still deal with breakage, awkward new hair growth, and dryness. On top of that (like nearly every woman I know), my hair is colored. On any given day, I am one knot away from dreadlocks.
MONAT, which is a combination of modern technology and nature, uses botanical extracts, essential oils, and vitamins to bring you HAIR MAGIC. No, I’m not kidding. I’ve used MONAT for 30 days and it has exceeded my expectations and then some.
I am going to be straight up with you, of course this is a sponsored post. Because legally, I have to tell you that. I could covertly hash tag #sponsored and be done with it, but that feels sneaky, because it is sneaky. But it’s important you know, that if I don’t like a product, I am not obligated to write a review for it. And personally, I’m not in the business of telling people to buy things that suck.
So, what did MONAT do for me and why do I love it so much? Why do I want to tell you all about my experience? Because It took less than 8 washes (2x per week) to transform my hair into something I love.
I noticed a difference after my first shampoo and condition with MONAT. And so did my co-workers. Two people asked me if I had, had my hair done that day. All I did was shampoo and condition my hair and let it dry naturally. No other hair products were involved. Not a single heat tool. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
What I noticed immediately was that my hair did not feel totally stripped and dried out. Normally I dread washing my hair because it makes it “too clean” – aka it strips it of essential oils that it needs to feel and be healthy. I have always loved “second day hair.” You know what I’m talking about, the day after you wash it, and the texture is just so much better. Well with MONAT I didn’t have to wait until day two to love my hair. It wasn’t crispy and dry. It was soft and smooth. Without feeling weighed down by product, hallelujah.
And I don’t mean to brag (I do), but it is shiny. Before MONAT, not so much. My hair is about as blonde as you can get on the ends, and it feels and looks healthy. I cannot fathom what this would do for brunette hair. I’m addicted to the way my hair looks and feels with MONAT.
Julianne assured me that the products were potent and that a little goes a long way, unlike other haircare lines that I’ve used, I found this to be true. No one wants to burn through a $70 dollar bottle of shampoo or conditioner in a few weeks and with MONAT you won’t. Their Rejuvenique hair oil is powerful. A drop or two smoothed my crispy ends and had me feeling like Beyonce. Bonus, it also smells fantastic.
I’m happier with this haircare system than any other I’ve ever used. And I’ve used a lot. I’m 30 days in and I can’t wait to see what these products continue to do for my hair.

If you’re interested in amazing hair and amazing cash, you could also consider becoming an independent sales representative and joining Julianne’s team. Direct Selling News magazine just did a special report on MONAT and what an amazing company it is to be a part of. If you’re in college, a stylist, or a stay at home mom trying to make a few extra dollars, MONAT could be the way you do it.
